He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia (Sue); and his sister Sirkka Hyponen. He is survived by: his children, John Mark (Lori) and Lynn; his grandchildren, Jeffrey John (Hazel) and Holly Beth; his great grandchild Jonah John Lievonen; his wife Mamie; and his brother Aarno.
