It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Michael Cando (Orillia, Ontario), who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Audrey Cando; his son Michael Joseph Cando; his parents, Mary Cando and Joseph Cando; his siblings, Elizabeth (John), Margaret, Gerard, Larry (Marjorie) and Nathan (Anna); his sisters-in-law, Valerie Boal (John Simpson), Pamela Hollington (Guy) and Cindy Boal; and his siblings' children, Shannon, Steven, Julia, Chelsea, Sarah, Joe, Leila, Tanya, Alicia and Tommy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the L. Doolittle Chapel (54 Coldwater St E, Orillia, ON L3V1W5). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Forest Home United Church (165 Line 15 N, Warminster, ON L0K2G0).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Forest Home United Church or Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or the charity of your choice.
