As Joyce departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joyce leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Freeburn and Eileen Freeburn; her husband Norman; and her sister Anne (Don Macfarlane) of Barrie, Ontario.. She was also cherished by cousins, a wide circle of friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Calendrier Mundell Funeral Home (79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1).
