She was predeceased by: her parents, Jan Mielnik and Anna Mielnik; and her brothers, Jozef Mielnik and Stefan Mielnik (Henryka). She is survived by: her husband Alfons Chwilkowski; and her siblings, Janusz Mielnik (Halina) and Halina Obraniak (Zdzislaw). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Chapel of Parkview Cemetery (335 University Ave, Waterloo, ON N2J4A8).
In lieu of flowers, please plant a flower in your own garden in her memory, as Maria found peace in nature and in gardening.
