He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dunn and Clara Dunn; his son Philip Dunn; his grandson Luke; and his siblings, William (Sonja) and Mary McTeague (Frank).
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Christine Dunn (Craig Maltby), David Dunn (Ercris) and Marianne Dunn; his grandchildren, Kathryn, Elizabeth, Amythist (Michael), Sapphire and Nicole (Lucas); and his sister Helen Downey.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Simcoe Funeral Home (38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church (115 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C4).
If desired, memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to the Mariposa House Hospice or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
