He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carter and Hattie Mae Carter; his wife Marilyn Carter; his grandchildren, Ryan and Stacey; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Kiley, Finlay, Owen, Isabell and Karsen; and his brothers, Sheldon Blenkhorn, Victor Carter and Gerald Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine (Joe), Alita (Perry) and Lisa (Rob); his grandchildren, Richard and Meagan; and his nephew Greg MacKenzie (Dana).
A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Simcoe Funeral Home (38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1). A reception was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:45 PM at the same location.
