He was predeceased by: his spouse Peggy Ann; and his sibling David Bailey of Brampton. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Townes, Colleen Freissen of Spruce Grove and Leigh Smith of Riverview; his grandchildren, Bill Yule of Waubaushene, Shaun Oakley of Plant City and Duane Oakley of Lakeland; and his siblings, Ruth and Lorne Townes of Redrock.
