He was predeceased by: his parents, Maaike (Hiemstra) and Folkert; and his sisters, Riekje (Rita), Jeltje (Jane) and Neeltje (Nancy).

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Leslie, Mike (Christine) and Robert (Digna); his sister Annet; his brother-in-law Herman Robers; and his granddaughters, Mia, Chloe and Cathy.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mundell Funeral Home (79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
