The family announces the passing of Rita Dann (Orillia, Ontario) on October 12, 2026. Rita, born on November 2, 1934, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. Rita will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Though Rita is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Rita’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joanne (Bill) and Jennifer (Jonathan); her grandchildren, Tyler (Ariel), Cory Akerfeldt (Mary Grace) and Caiden Holling; and her great grandchildren, Mason Dann and Waylon Henry.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Akerfeldt Home (16203 Hwy 50, Bolton, ON L7E3J6).
