He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Trotman and Frederick Trotman; and his brother Fred. He is survived by: his wife Elna Trotman; his daughters, Tara Ewart (James) and Carol Trotman (Greg Dutton); his grandchildren, Brittany Maynard (Devon), Jesse and Cassidy; and his siblings, Dorothy Winkler, Marvin, Elva, Patricia, Ralph and Wesley. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forest Home United Church, Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or to the Orillia O.S.P.C.A. through the Simcoe Funeral Home.
