He was predeceased by: his spouse Sussanne; his parents, Gerald Dawson and Lena Dawson; and his siblings, Joan and Larry.
He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline Owczarek (Kris) and Gordon Dawson; his grandsons, Jeffrey (Ashley), John (Megan) and Dustin; his great grandchildren, Mason, Ronan, Elsie and Anna; and his brother Edward. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendrier Mundell Funeral Home (79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
