He was predeceased by: his son John Meeks; and his siblings, Elma, Leona, Bill and Oscar.
He is survived by: his significant other Priscilla Edge; his children, Debra Meeks, Bonny McDougall (late Ron) and David Meeks (Voula); his grandchildren, Courtney, Cole, Anastasia and Jonathan; and his brother Doug (Muriel). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Kensington Hospice, through the Simcoe Funeral Home 38 James St. E in Orillia.
