She was predeceased by: her husband John Buchanan; her sister Connie Buchanan; and her friend Charles Alan Barker. She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Murfitt (Scott) and Jodi Amis (Steve); her grandsons, Christopher, Chad and Justin; her great grandchildren, Jane, Kat, Logan and Arthur; and her siblings, George Muscroft (Eleanor), June Cregan (late Ian) and Jim Muscroft (Melinda). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
