He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Christina Benner (Judson) and Richard Sturge (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Jack, Julia and Mitchell; his nieces, Deborah and Susan; his nephew Paul; his brother-in-law Roger Ruthen (Viv); his nephew Mark; and his niece Julia.
