It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Lak (Orillia, Ontario), who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sylvia Lak to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sylvia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Cornelis (Cor); her children, Gord Lak, Bonnie Richards (Frank), Debbie Lak (Michael), Colleen Jaxa-Debicki (late Joseph), Melody Lak and Suzanne Cole (Peter); and her sibling Bernie Mikolovich. She was also cherished by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mundell Funeral Home (79 West Street N, Orillia, ON L3V5C1). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
