He was predeceased by: his parents, Tauno Ojala and Elna Ojala; and his siblings, Alli Ross and Miriam Ralph. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Teresa Ross (Dennis) of Washago, Sophie Sage of Sydenham and Mark Ojala of Orillia; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ross (Mike Cattaruzza), Robert Ross (Sarah MacDonald), Jenni-Lynn Ross (Steve King), Christine Ojala and Connor Ojala; and his great grandchildren, Alessandra, Keaton, Maurizio and Hadley.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Simcoe Funeral Home (38 James St E, Orillia, ON L3V1L1). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Huronia Ride for Dad.
