He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret; his children, Steven Thomas Kowerchuk and Andrea Leigh Kowerchuk; his grandchildren, Falon Woodman, Eden Woodman and Kaelyn Kowerchuk; and his sister Donna Hordeski.
