He was predeceased by: his parents, William Balkwill and Velma Balkwill; his siblings, Art (Barb), Shirley Hardy (Jim), Bob (Donna), Bev, Don (Shirley) and Merna Stagg (Joe); Betty Jorgenson (Richard) and Marilyn Paine (Art).
He is survived by: his children, Jeff and Val (Dave Knox); his grandchildren, Rebecca McPhaden (Aaron), Alex (Sarah), Brooke Russell and Hannah Russell (Brandon); his great grandchild Aria; his friend Pat Kirkpatric; Elaine Hanson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Wally was a dedicated supporter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the RVH Cancer Center through their 50/50 draws.
