He was predeceased by: his wife Cathryn Higginson; his parents, Rev. Larry and Rev. Alice Higginson; and his siblings, Cecil and Kathleen.

He is survived by: his children, Sean Higginson-Armstrong (Margaret Danic), Michael Armstrong (Whitney Kerr) and Krista Lake (Mike); his grandchildren, Shannon, Colton, Trevor, Joshua and Ireland; and his siblings, Gwen, Ivor, Monty, Bill, Phil and Pat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
