She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Whissell; her parents, Raoul Séguin and Laurentia; her son Luc Gallant; and her brothers, Royal "Roy" Séguin (Lorraine) and Denis Séguin (Elizabeth Day).

She is survived by: her children, Daniel Gallant (France Mercier), Yvon Gallant (Lise Potvin), Robert Gallant (Danièle Roy), Michel Gallant (Martine Bazinet), Sylvain Lambert (Chantal Dion) and Melissa Séguin-Whissell (Darren Switzer); her grandchildren, Jessy (Patrick Sauvé), Dave, Stéphanie (Nico Juneau), Sébastien (Marie-Pier Boutin), Véronik Gallant, Mindy (Paul Larkin), Megan, Alicia, Oriana Bazinet-Gallant (Andy Houle), Pierre-Oliver (Emilie Lacasse), Vincent, Rosalie Lambert and Mackayla Séguin-Whissell Burt; and her great grandchildren, Maé, Novak, Nathan, Clara, Arianne, Éva, Elton, Romy, Charlie, Hubert, Emeraude and Henri. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and friends.
