She was predeceased by: her significant other Hemant Reguel Canaran; and her parents, Fehmi Ali and Dorothy Fehmi Ali. She is survived by: her daughters, Priya Canaran-Claes (Herman Claes) and Robina Canaran (Gary Reid); her grandsons, Kiefer, Niels, Philippe and Lukas; her sister Shaheen Ansari; and her nieces, Zeenath Ansari Selvakumar and Nausheen Ansari. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
