He was predeceased by : his parents, Grace Albert (Didier) and Alfred Albert of Ottawa; his siblings, Gerard and Micheline (Currie); and also Barbara Robinson.

He is survived by : his children, Lisa Smith and Brian Picotte; his grandchildren, Darcie, Leane, Hannah and Sarah; and his great grandchild Adalyna.
