He was predeceased by : his parents, William Halka Sr. and Madge Burbridge; his stepson Kevin Casey (Lucie Hébert); his sister Marilyn (Peter Delroy); and his wife Denise Halka.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Christine Casey (Bernard Laberge) and Bruce Casey (Darlene Sharpe); his stepgrandchildren, Sandra, Geneviève, Isabelle, Nathan, Jakob, Joshua and Mackenzie; his siblings, Susan (William O'Leary) and Richard (Emese Tolnai); and also, Nathaniel Sivret, Creslin Johnson, Cyndi Masson, Céleste Chevrier, Katie Kamara, Corey Stone and Matthew Lauzon.
