He is survived by: his wife June Cosens of Oshawa; his children, Eric (Lorrie) of Napanee, Carol of Oshawa and Mark of Oshawa; his grandchildren, Ron Cosens (Kristen), Jennifer (Kevin McCauley), Scott, Colleen, Katie Gallant (Mitch Reid), Luke Gallant (Hayley) and Tim Gallant (Shania); his great grandchildren, Gaelan, Doyle and Malcolm; his sister Jean Troop; and his sister-in-law Dianne Moores (Eric).

Due to the pandemic, the use of a mask/facial covering is mandatory and attendance is by invitation.

Donations in memory of Alex to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, the Canadian Lung Association, and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated.
