He was predeceased by : his sister Julieanne Garito. He is survived by : his wife Wanda; his children, Eric (Robynn) of Oshawa and Amanda Sharpe (Darren) of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Logan, Noah, Hannah and Cameron; and his brothers, Peter, Brian (Mimi), Dudley (Cathy) and Mike. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
