He is survived by: his spouse Jacoba (Coby); his children, Janie Simpson (Brad), Marc Van Herwijnen (Anna) and Hank Van Herwijnen; his grandchildren, Emma, Mitchell Simpson, Victoria and Anthony Van Herwijnen; and his sister Cisca Pardoel Van Herwijnen.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
