He was predeceased by: his nephew Dylan; his parents, Judd Terwillegar and Marjorie Terwillegar; and his father-in-law Dave Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Fran; his children, Graeme, Lesley, Rachael and Ashley; his grandchildren, Alasdair and Lachlan; his sister Denise; his parent-in-law Myrna-Lou Simpson; his siblings-in-law, David Simpson and Nicola Jones; and his children, Finnegan and Bronwyn.
