He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Andrea Piels (Shaun) and Ed Mallette (Sarah); his grandchildren, Carter, Parker, Archer and Addison Piels; and his siblings-in-law, Betty, Henry Haass, Valerie, John Geisberger, Claire and Lynda Glendinning.
