It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek McDermott (Oshawa, Ontario), who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his nephew Christopher. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his child Catriona (Sesto); his stepchildren, Tracy (Pat), Graham (Kerri) and Robert; his grandchildren, Kyle, Brett, William, Olivia, Celeste, Reilly, Quinn and Mason; his sister Patricia Drotar; and his niece Andrea (Kevin). He is also survived by his extended family and many friends.
