With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Byrne (Oshawa, Ontario), who passed away on November 2, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Barta and Maria Barta; her husband Leonard Byrne; her brother Jack Barta (Barb); her significant other Len; Helen Morrison (Mike), Bill (Clare) and Steve (Emily).
She is survived by: her children, Lorrie (Thomas Uhlig), Lynda Holla (Charlie), John (Lori) and Tom (Diana); her grandchildren, Jan McFarland (Chad), Matthew Holla (Jesara), Mark Holla (Crystal), Kristyn, Chantalle Byrne (Jon Rainbow), Marise, Roselle, Timara Uhlig (Andrew Nieuwhof) and Brittany Pegg; and her great grandchildren, Nolan Ord, Jackson, Gavin McFarland, Kaitlyn, Aiden, Charlotte Holla and Parker Nieuwhof.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McIntosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home (152 King St E, Oshawa, ON L1H1B6). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
