He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his siblings, Helen Hawkins and Eugene McGrath; and his brother-in-law Lyman Flynn. He is survived by: his children, Shawn McGrath (Shelley) and Karen Varty; his grandchildren, Amy McGrath (Calvin), Erin McGrath, Brittany Acorn (Al) and Shea Varty (Jenna); and his great grandchild Jack Acorn.
