He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce; and his siblings, Gordon Saxby, Honour Saxby, Christine Patterson, Dorothy Lee, Evelyn Sobanski and Ruth Knox.

He is survived by: his children, Tom Saxby (Maureen), Brenda Marley (John), Karen Saxby (Deb) and David Saxby; his grandsons, Michael Marley, Jeffrey, Jason and Tommy Saxby; his great grandchildren, Paige, Lydia, Myla and Chance; his sisters, Freda Shields, Joan Jackson and Carol Cole; and his pet Stanley.
