He was predeceased by: his son Adam; and his brothers, James, David and Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Cheryl Topitsch (Alex), Kirk Chapman (Katherine) and Jennifer Chapman (Rick); and his grandchildren, Marko, Nikolas, Gabriel, Evelyn Shandice and Declan. He is also survived by extended family and many good friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer's Society or the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
