He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Griffiths Edwards of Ireland and Margaret Graham of Scotland; his wife Stella; his siblings, Desmond and June Lyttle; his siblings-in-law, Violet Edwards, Audrey (Ronnie Gorman), Edna (Billy Boyd) and Andy (Mary Richardson); his siblings' children, Derek and Yvonne Henning (Wilfie); and his nephew-in-law Steve Madden.
He is survived by: his children, Martin and Patricia; his cousin Yvonne Shultz (Carl); his sister Margaret Stockdale; his sibling's children, Pamela, Margot Thornley (Ian), David Lyttle (Thelma), Alan Edwards (Shelley) and Andrew Edwards; his children, Alison Niccols (Damian), Hilary Bonsignore (Angelo) and Beverly Mazzaferro (Tony); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jacob, Griffiths Edwards, Janelle Bakalar (Joe) and Brianne Bosut (Erol); and also Joan Madden.
Donations may be given to Humane Society of Durham, Knox Presbyterian Church in Oshawa or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
