He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Ernst; and his mother Alice Rosenau (Dreher). He is survived by: his wife Elke (Sommerfeld); his daughters, Rebekah (Michael), MarjaLiese (Dan) and Stephanie (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Esther Grace, Lyla, Caden, Asher, Nolan, Aubrey and Piper; his mother-in-law Hilda; his siblings, Rolfe (Sherry) and Karin (Shawn); and his father Ewald Rosenau.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions attendance will be limited to those registered.
