He was predeceased by: his son Ian; his parents, Alice McNeil and Daniel McNeil of Nova Scotia; and his siblings, Doris and Jimmy.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Philip (Pam) and Melissa (Kollin); his grandchildren, Samantha (Mitchell), Evan, Kaleb and Ryleigh; his great grandchild Kenny; and his sisters, Violet and Christina.
In lieu of flowers, a donation box will be available at the Legion in support of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, in Herby's memory.
