She was predeceased by: her spouse Denys Rifkin; and her siblings, Bert Hanson, Leslie Hanson, Marjorie Deaner, Brenda Griffiths and Tom Hanson.

She is survived by: her children, John Rifkin (Katherine) of Oshawa and Louise Sams (John) of Ajax; her grandchildren, Stephen Rifkin, Michael Rifkin (Ashley), Jonathan Rifkin (Erin), Emily Sams (Michael Harris) and Marjorie Sams (Patrick McConnell); her great grandchildren, Graeme, Elinor, Alison, Sophia, Judah, Adelaide, Reuben and Josephine Rifkin; her sister Jillian Crawford; and her siblings-in-law, Helen Hanson, Margaret Rifkin and Don Griffiths. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
