It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Calabro (Oshawa, Ontario), who passed away on June 10, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nella; his sons, Roberto (Soyeon) and Anthony; his parents, Vincenzo and Santina; and his sister Tina.

Due to the Covid 19 Restrictions, a private service will be held.

If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated,.

“I worked with Joe at the Toronto Sun in the Darkroom and he taught me litho-stripping. We worked together only for a few years, but I always enjoyed his passionate nature and attention to detail. He was a hard worker and a real family man. He was proud of his sons and beautiful wife, Nella. I even was able to take some photos of him and his wife, Nella before they were married. I send my sincere condolences to his family. I can only imagine how much he will be missed, Susanna Jarolim”
