He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilsiena and John; and his brothers, Andrew, Gerry, Theo, Henk, William and Ben Van Kuik.

He is survived by: his wife Marian; his daughters, Lorie Russell (Paul) and Wendy Willik (Ari); his siblings, Riet Vandewiel (Harry), John (Shirley), Nick (Pat) and Casey Van Kuik; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Steenburg (Brian) and Bob Suszek (Rose). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
