He was predeceased by: his child Tracey; and his siblings, George, James, Delmer, Emma Balson, Annie Nemisz and Peggy Currie.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, John Jr. (Joanne) and Elaina Stephen (Jamie); his grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Amy and Graham; and his sister Marie Frank (Wilf).
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Durham Region would be appreciated by the family.
