He was predeceased by: his former wife Gail. He is survived by: his children, Chris and Derek; his siblings, Richard, Roman, Stan, Leon (Monroe), Lucia (Parks) and Lena (Monroe); his siblings' children, Nathaniel, Sonja, Joseph, Josh, Hannah, Vanessa, Neil and Ruth; and his friend Gary Lonsberry.
