He was predeceased by: his sons, Gary and Joseph (Evelyn); his parents, Joseph and Mary; and his sister Irene (Peter Sosin).

He is survived by: his wife Isabelle Kovacs (Haupert); his sister Helen (John Sharko); his sister-in-law Pauline (late Louis Schweigkofler); his grandchildren, Ian, Sharon and David; his great grandchildren, Madyson, Alyssa, Zachary and Hailey; and his sibling's children, Linda, Peter, Stanley, Gail and John.
