He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorne Pierce and Margaret Pierce; his siblings, Patricia Brown and Jack Pierce; and his brothers-in-law, Elmer Neumann and Jim Chalmers.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Lorne (Judy), Deborah (Mike) and Julie (Tony); and his grandchildren, Lorne B (Felicia), Chris (Kim), Nick (Danielle), Jessica (Andrew), Mitchell (Stephanie), Isaac (Belle), Aaron (Devon), Joey and Ethan. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Refuge or Healing Place Church.
