She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Ernest Harmer; her sons, Allan Harmer (Susan) and Robert John; her grandchildren, Allison Harmer, Matthew, Jonathan, Carolyn and Eric; her great grandchildren, Alex, Liam, Zoë Harmer, Andrew, Jacob Harmer, Madelyn, Adelaide and Charlotte Root; her great great grandchild Peyton Rose Harmer; her parents, Edward Blackburn and Alice Blackburn; her brothers, David and Jack Blackburn; and her brothers-in-law, George Pearce (Lorraine), Arthur Harmer (Barbara), Beni Masselli (Shirley), William Lea and David Harmer.

She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Lea (Betty) and Marlene Harmer; and her close friend Suier Richardson.
