She was predeceased by: her husband William Caplar; and her parents, Alfred Lowry and Hedwig Lowry. She is survived by: her children, Michele Smillie (Craig), Carol Jones (Ken), Sonny Caplar (Carolyn) and Gord Caplar (Alison); her grandchildren, Ryan (Sahar), Brad (Alanna), Jesse, Cassandra, Vanessa, Brandon, Michael, Ian and Jason; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Evelynn, Ashton, Hayden, Spencer and Abigail; and her pets, Mitzi and Pretty.
Memorial donations to the Humane Society of Durham Region would be greatly appreciated.
