He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thelma Cairns (Quigley) and Wilbur Cairns; his wife Gail Cairns (Abbott); his children, Janet (Christian Williamson), Christopher and Mark (Lindsay Wheeler); his grandchildren, Jared, Mason, Madison and Liam; his siblings, Margaret Sherren and Frank (Bonnie Trafford); and his brother-in-law Murray Abbott (Cathy Olsen).
