He was predeceased by : his former life partner Julie Walter; his children, Stephanie and Christopher; and his parents, Albert'Army' Armstrong and Sylva Armstrong.

He is survived by : his spouse Lynda'Lyn'Armstrong; his children, Todd and Debbie Armstrong-Cattell (Steve); his stepchildren, Jeffrey O'Brien (Tammy) and Jodi O'Brien (Adam Dobko); his grandchildren, Emily (Brandon), Victoria'Mackie' (Andrea), Katelyn, Brennen, Matthew, Lauren, Paige, Cameron and Wil; his great grandchild Leo; his sister Sally Martens (John) of Wolfville; and his nieces, Georgia and Laura Martens.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hearth Place, Diabetes Canada, Lakeridge Health Foundation-Cancer Care, or the Rotary Club of Oshawa.
