He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice MacCarl and Bill MacCarl; and his brother Vernon (Stella MacCarl). He is survived by: his wife Marian; his children, Ronalda, Melanie (Gerry), Alicia, Brad (Brenda), Derek and Jennifer; his brother-in-law Ken Gabourie of Calgary; and his sibling's children, Kent MacCarl and Tina Atkinson.
