He was predeceased by: his parents, James Michael Tobin and Mary Alice (Murphy). He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Tobin and Brian Tobin; his siblings, James Tobin, Mary Alice Tobin (Dee Dee), Karen Tobin, Kevin Tobin (Mary Jane Hunter), Greg Tobin (Louise Atkinson), Mel Tobin (Marilyn Green) and Gavin Tobin (Sarah Johnston); and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Wever, Sean Wever, Lindsay Tobin, Alicia Tobin, Andrew Tobin, Justine Tobin, Wesley Tobin, Justin Tobin, Dylan Tobin, Evan Tobin, Aden Tobin and Luke Tobin. He is also survived by many friends, relatives and coworkers.
