She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Miettinen; her child Glenn; her parents, Ethel and Ross; and her siblings, John and Beverley.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian (Dorothy) and Barry (Kim); her grandchildren, Kate (Marco), Jessica (Gary), Stephanie (Nicklas), Sarah (Ty), Andrea (Luc), Dana and Alexandra (Noah); her great grandchildren, Laila, Siena, Bryson, Emma, Tilton and Dorothy; her sisters, Ardyth (Gary), Marnie (Alan) and Karen; and her brother-in-law Frank.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer Society of Durham Region or to the Canadian Mental Health Association Durham.
